Death Cafe

Death Cafe In-Person

What is a Death Cafe? That's a good question! Because "death cafe" sounds a little gruesome and a little scary. Well, rest assured this program is neither of those things. Instead it's a warm and welcoming space to reflect, share, and talk openly about death without any agenda, ideology, or expectation. The aim is to create a safe, nonjudgmental circle where meaningful conversation can unfold around the often-taboo topic of mortality.

We’ll gather in the spirit of curiosity, honesty, and compassion. Sharing organic treats and refreshments as we speak from the heart and listen deeply to one another. Gentle sound healing will be offered either before or after the café to support integration and reflection.

When we allow ourselves to look directly at death, we often find we can live more fully, more awake to what truly matters!

Facilitator: Aime Adams is a licensed acupuncturist, clinical herbalist, yoga and meditation teacher, and sound healing practitioner. With over 20 years of experience supporting individuals through physical, emotional, and spiritual transitions, Aime is passionate about creating safe spaces for personal reflection and collective healing. www.agavehealingarts.com

This gathering follows the international Death Café model, created to increase awareness of death in order to help people make the most of their lives. It is not a grief support group or therapy, but a relaxed, respectful space for honest conversation.
